Following handing the petition into the Mayor at the full Council meeting some several months ago, Bolton Council have agreed to look into ways at reducing traffic congestion on Blackburn Rd.

This is great news! However…….

We now need to keep the pressure on them ensuring they actually follow through with their promises in reducing the endless queues of traffic not only on Blackburn Rd, but across the town.

We’ve won the battle for now, and we have at least have got it onto the council agenda, but there is a long way to go before we can claim victory!

If anyone would like to get involved in traffic reduction or road safety campaigns, please email me at Warren.Fox@bolton-libdems.org.uk

  1. How on earth can BC say they will reduce traffic on Blackburn Rd when they intend to build hundreds of houses that will have to use Blackburn Rd???
